Hiya, I'm pretty new here on HondaTech and haven't found any decent solutions to the above setup as yet since searching around for a good 2 weeks.
I've got an engine ready to go in to the civic, with most work done by myself including the drop, rewiring and extending fuel lines.
The remaining work is an enigma to me (tuning) and would like to know whether the S100 would be a decent application for what I'm using it for (that is, street tuned H22A EG3), and whether it would be possible to use my old D-Series ECU (P28 G00)?
Along with the tune, I've sourced a pair of Skunk2 Stage 1 cams and gears. I'm also looking to upgrade the valvetrain later on.
So yeah, my primary question is: Can I continue to use my existing P28?

Thanks nick for your post and welcome to Hondatech.com.au, you most certainly can use your current wire harness from your civic and your D series p28 ECU, along with Hondata, this is a very simple swap, basically drop the engine in, and use all your standard D series civic wiring.
Your ECU will need to be upgraded to Hondata, please contact your nearest dealer for help doing this, and tuning your car.

Thanks for the reply :D
I've got to admit, it did sound easy from the get go but a hole needs to be cut in to the EG hump on the interior of the car to feed the shifter cables through. Also some wires need to be extended and spliced (such as the O2 sensor, H22's use a four wire O2 sensor) and a few have to be swapped around and pins added. But anyway, that's another topic. lol
As for the ECU, it HAS to be upgraded to OBD2A in order for it to be Hondata compatible correct?

Not at all, KEEP YOUR car as OBD1 your standard p28 civic should already have a 4 wire oxygen sensor, there should be no reason to change this. The bulk of your wiring harness should stay the same.
If you need any specific help, please ask.

Thanks a heap James. I'll keep you posted in the comings months on the progress and will certainly call when I need that S100 fitted and tuned. :D
Really appreciate all the help. Honda-Tech is by far the most informative site I know of.
